Two swags, stone carving, date unknown. This is a black and white photograph of two stone carvings of swags, usually used for architectural ornamentation. The upper swag is in the form of a draped cloth. The lower is a more elaborate festoon of fruit and flowers. A black background accentuates the light and shadow of the carvings. "The Shaw Studio Chas. C. Starks, Photographer, Bloomington, Indiana" is embossed in the lower left corner. A white border surrounds the image. Creases in the bottom left corner and evidence of a staple (two holes and rust) near the top are signs of wear and handling.
