Object Name Gown, Wedding
Description 1937 white wedding dress belonged to donor, 58" in length, 18" across shoulders, and 11.5" across waist. Sateen material makes up the main part of the dress which is covered by tulle. It is high necked with snaps at the boack of the neck. The arms are long in length and buttons line the wrists. At the shoulders, pieces of tulle are layered and expand outwards. The pattern on the shoulders is in a horizontal pattern. This pattern decorates the neck of the dress as well, but scoops across the neckline in a crescent shape. The bottom of the dress is also lined in horizontal strips, and creates the border of the dress. Pieces of tulle are joined at the middle of the waist and create crescent patterns as well. Snaps are along the waist.
