Description |
Black and White photograph of old Bloomington Hospital, 10"x8", date unknown. It is a three story limestone building with two chimneys, one on each end. There is a fire escape on the side. Above the door, chiseled into the limestone is "Hospital", and above that on either side of the window, "1917". The trees are without leaves, and there is an open yard space in front with a sidewalk. There is a thin area of black framing the photo. In the bottom left corner, in white there is "C-78-1," added at time of exposure, or somehow on the negative. On the upper right border, in mirror-writing: "Eastman-Kodak, 88." On the back, the date 1904 is written in pencil, which is likely the date that the photo was taken, though it has obviously been reprinted since then. |
