Ballantine Hall, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. The largest classroom building on the Indiana University campus, Ballantine Hall was completed in 1959 at a cost of $5,000,000 and has been designated the emergency state house for the State of Indiana. In the event of a national emergency, the governor and his entire staff would move their offices here so as to be outside the "critical target areas" of the Indianapolis region. Anscochrome by D.G.
