Black and white sepia-toned photograph of marching band moving down street, 4.75"x3.5", date unknown. Landscape orientation, with white border. The band is marching down a brick-paved street and playing their instruments. The men in the band wear white slacks and button-up shirts, with dark belts, neckties, shoes, and waist-length capes. The women in the band are wearing white shirts and skirts with dark tights and white shoes. They also wear a dark cape. Everyone in the band is wearing a cap or a garrison or Karakul style. On the right side of the street is a row of buildings. The longer building that they are directly in front of has storefronts on the first floor -- Kahn's and a drugstore. On the upper floors, the facade has a horizontal appearance (from wide siding, or possibly from blocks), with a series of windows -- some rectangular and double-hung, some oriel style, and some bow style. Behind the band is another building of limestone with large columns in front, and behind them in the parade is a float. |
