Description |
Black and white photograph of Central School. This is a three story brick school building in "Second Empire" style, 10"x8", date unknown. The building has a central four-storey "tower" with hexagonal tile top in mansard style, and narrow windows. At the top of the tower is a lightening rod built into the decorative top. There are four chimneys visible on the roof. There is a fire escape on the front coming from the third storey window down to the ground by the front steps. There is a tall tree in front of the left side of the building as well as others around it, and the trees are in leaf. There is a street in front of the building. On the back is hand written in pencil: "Old Central High School on S. College where parking lot of Tom O'Daniel" |
